One of the founders of coronary surgery in Estonia. Over the course of 50 years, Sulling performed coronary artery bypass surgery on 4000 patients, replacing arteries damaged from atherosclerosis with new, functioning arteries. About half of the surgeries were off-pump surgeries, where the heart continues to pump blood, and the other half on-pump surgeries with an artificial circulatory system. Doctor Sulling is one of the most prominent and well-known physicians and surgeons in Estonia. Known for his scientific research papers and excellent treatment results, he has received recognition at numerous international forums and has brought attention and fame to Estonian healthcare.
